So my friend Dan wants to lose some weight by the time him and his family go on a road trip in July...so we made a bet, because I would also like to lose some weight! Starts today...ends July8th if not sooner!
My first goal is to get into a pair of pants that are the same number size that I wear now, but are pretty tight on me and uncomfortable...the picture above is of those pants...and so it starts!
Getting Started!
Hello everyone! I hope to that you can all follow me on my journey to becoming a "better creature" and my commitment to keep my family growing in many ways!

Words to LIVE by!
"Now, my dear sisters, you are doing the best you can, and that best results in good to yourself and others. Do not nag yourself with sense of failure. Get on your knees and ask for the blessings of the Lord; then stand on your feet and do what you are asked to do. Then leave the matter in the hands of the Lord. You will discover that you have accomplished something beyond price."
Kath and Me
This is Kathy Dean and I...she is one of the greatest friends in the world and I happen to adore her family very much! I was thinking about how I met her today...about 5 1/2 years ago I answered an ad in the Idaho State Journal for a babysitter on Tuesday evenings for two young boys. I answered the ad...and they hired me; Kathy and Dan Dean...to watch Harrison and Cooper, then 3 and 18 months (almost 4 and 2). In this picture, we are at Cooper's 7th birthday party...I am so blessed to have them in my life, they are some of the most wonderful, loving, honest, supportive, and intelligent people I know. Love this Kath, love her so much!
It's been a while!
I haven't posted on our blog since August, I think...I guess I spend too much time on Facebook. However, I am going to start using this as a journalesque resource for myself! I type much faster than I write so I'm hoping I can stick to it. So hopefully it will be interesting to some, or maybe it'll just be me rambling into and empty cyberspace...either way...here it goes!

The Dentist
My sweet little Easton has two cavities. They are right up against each other between these two baby teeth that are really close together. Makes me mad that I am not better about flossing his teeth. He has had such good experiences at the dentist and now this is going to ruin it, I am so bummed about that. Plus. . .we have to put $300 into these two teeth that are going to fall out in a few years. . .as is our life! Luckily we have an amazing and wonderful dentist that can only be described as a huge blessing when it comes to our dental bill. . .what an amazing guy he is! We'll survive this too, I guess!

Hello Friends and Family!
We are excited to find a new way to keep in touch with everyone! Scott is working at Engineered Systems Associates and he also mows some lawns on the side. . .we call it Scruff's Custom Lawn Care. . .but it's not really a business. He is currently serving as the Gospel Doctrine teacher...and well, he doesn't love it, but he is a GREAT teacher! I am working at Quinn Meadows Rehab as a Dietary Aid and I am a student at ISU. I am studying Dietetics and I love it very much! I will graduate in 2 years and then become a Registered Dietician a year after that...as long as I get into the internship I want. I am serving with some amazing ladies as 2nd counselor in the Primary presidency, and I love those kids so much! Easton starts Kindergarten in September. . .HOLY COW...we is so smart and so ready. He is already reading so much and starting to do simple addition and subtraction. I am anxious for the social training it will give him, and maybe he can make some friends that are boys since the vast majority of the friends he has now are girls. Krysta just turned 2 and we are trying the potty training thing. . .three days in and not having much success. She is spit fire! She has a major mind and attitude all her own...but she is so sweet and so beautiful...I hate to admit that sometimes she gets her way when she shouldn't. So. . .we are going to give this blog thing a try..so stay tuned!
